Since I was 10 year old I worked for the citizen newspaper company in Prince George, B.C, Canada. I had responsibilities like deliver 32 papers before 7 am 6 days a week no days off unless we get another person to deliver the papers but we had to pay them out of our pay and they always wanted more then I got paid so I very rarely did that unless I was going on vacation or out to the lake. I made approximately $130 a month also delivering flyers at 2 cents per flyer I however pay kids and adults 20 cents a flyer. Long story short I saved my money opening my first bank account at 10 years old to operate on my own it was chequing account at scotiabank. Every month my mom and step dad encouraged me to save it for something a really want they also suggested college to save for next cause I really wanted my own vessel on the water toy or boat so I have freedom on vacation. So two years go by and my parents are talking to a friend a boat mechanic from Okanogan a really good mechanic he does all our boats when he visits he said ” I got someone selling a teenager size jet-ski300cc built 1994 $1800″, so mom asked me “how much do you have in your bank account” after I said I want it. I replied ” $1200 why what he want for it”, mom replied “$1800”, “that’s fine” I replied “since you promised you would match me when I buy something, you only have a third to pay for me I saved most of it” I replied like she had only a small percentage of what she promised to live up to in a humorous way. She said “ok ill lend you the $600 and you pay it back monthly I will leave you enough for vacations like gas every weekend for the jet-ski. so I payed her back monthly, so now I am 12 – 13 years old with my first savings and loan payed off in full sale value $1800 and I am only 13 years old. So next I realized new boater regulations and they state a child under 16 years old are not allowed over a certain hoarse power and my jet-ski was 300cc Kawasaki over the hoarse power allowed for me to operate. This is when i take the boating course to get my boating license aced it now I have my first license before age 16. But now the problem is I cant drive my jet-ski however I did when the rcmp stop me I was going to lie about the hoarse power I have. I lying saying it is a smaller hoarse power then it really was! is opposite of normality, most guys lie about the hoarse power like a hp higher then it was. however I never had to lie the cops didn’t bother hounding me about me driving as I was obeying boating rules, regulations, and etiquette.
Reason my jet-ski is named: thin ice.
So in the end I only had warnings. The one thing they would pinch me on however is fishing regulations they harassed me more on using barbed hooks on fish and call it illegal tackle and they ding me on not having fishing license but i am five rae i state our ancestors pioneered here to peace river we have a grandfather clause we can fish and hunt anytime but in 5 rae days 5 rae were able to claim any land not discovered were they notify Hudson bay fur trading company then 5 rae also set and surveyed their trap lines setting their own hunting grounds we don’t need a license this breaks my rights fucker its barbed so I don’t loose my dinner I’m starving like i said this is our land. consequence a ticket my reaction <?@#!BEEP BEEP> i still will fish??@#$!!> second consequence for being stubborn and not boating home they take my fishing rods so I can not fish any more. what dicks rods cost money. So because I disobeyed boating laws with my jet-ski and didn’t follow regulations of fishing I was known as a rebel soul so my jet-ski was called thin ice also the other reason is because I loved jet-skiing so much when there is ice floating in a partially frozen lake I would wear a wet suite and always be the first person at summit lake to jump in and get wet in the lake as its too cold, and sure enough its hypothermia cold water like the polar dip.

I learned several lessons during this work ethic and job profession at a young age!
1) responsibility, 2)how to save money {of a large sum of currencies}, 3)how to open a bank account, 4) how to be honorable {dedication working when sick or weather ugly out side, delivering through unbearable situations} showing number 5 (responsibility), 5)responsibility, 6) budgeting, 7) how to work on & create a routine, 8) how to be on time with no excuse, 9) time management, 10) how to get licensed, 11)how to follow rules, laws, & regulations as well as break them and not obey them. 12) how to receive thanks for hard work my customer acknowledged my efforts left me tips and presents around Christmas time also my first thankyou letter to the customers who showed and appreciated my efforts teaching me how to be gracious when not expecting it.
